Ellet moved the game and Senior Night to Thursday, October 20th. But the rain didn't dampen the smiles of the proud seniors and their families.

Game at University of Akron

Okay, I know this is a large album but it's kind of fun to click through quickly and watch the band move across the field with each shot.

Archived Band Newsletter, August 2007

Hi,
Katie with band member Courtney, 2007
I’m Katie Hickman and I’m a band-sister. Someday I want to be in the Ellet Band. I’m going in 5th grade and will learn to play the trumpet just like my brother, Tommy.
It’s really fun being a band-sister. All the older kids are really nice and almost everybody knows my name. I’m glad I got to help my Mom at band camp this summer.

You Might Be a Band Geek If...

by Katie DeAngelis - Trumpet, Class of 2008
10. You're a senior and you're still in the band!
9. You spend more time wearing blue & orange than any other color.
8. You have come up with your own, "one time, at band camp" stories.
7. Your find yourself telling other kids in school that "if you're not peeing, you're not drinking enough!"
6. You use band camp as an opportunity to find and new boy/girlfriend.
5. When bored in class you find yourself humming show songs.
4. Your know exactly which truck Mr. Grom drives.
3. You see the band room more than your home.
2. Your parents have given Mr. Grom permission to adopt you since he sees you more than they do.
1. You reach for your flow charts anytime you pass Mr. Grom in the hall!

Yankee Candle Fundrasier

I'm giving the packets to the kids this week. All orders and payments are due to me MONDAY, SEPT. 26 at rehearsal. Orders must be complete and paid for with cash or check written to ELLET BAND BOOSTERS. Checks are best. I will not submit orders that are missing payments. We make 43% on this fundraiser! We hope to make $2000.00 on the sale this year and we can do that if everyone sells, even just one item (last year only half the band participated, so we didn't make what we'd budgeted).
I will be explaining to them how to fill out the order forms correctly but if anyone has any questions they can call me at 330-819-9317 or email theresa_rousculp@yahoo.com (underscore in the middle). We are a tax-exempt organization and do not charge tax on these orders. The customer does not pay shipping and the prices are very comparable to the Yankee Candle Store prices.
We need 100% participation and for the parents to take the catalogs to their workplaces to help sell as well. No door-to-door selling is needed! Just sell to teachers, family, friends, neighbors, co-workers,  and people at church. Orders may also be collected via email once people have looked at the brochure online:  http://www.yankeecandlefundraising.com/fallCatalog.html
Delivery will be to the football stadium concession stand 2-4 weeks from receipt of orders. The faster I receive orders complete the faster I can submit them and receive the products (last year several people took 2 extra weeks to submit orders, pushing our delivery into the busier time of year). The students will be responsible for picking up the items they sold and delivering to their customers.
Sellers, the order forms are in triplicate, so press down hard when you write. Be sure to keep the pink copy of your order forms and a copy of the catalog to help you deliver to your customers.
Thank you!
Theresa

Uploading Your Photos

We have installed an easy program to upload your photos to share with our band family. On the right-hand margin you will find the
File Stork link (it's limited to 30 photos at a time). Just open the link, load your photos, and send. The photos go to a drop box where I can retrieve them and upload on this website.

Also, Tommy edited the Skit videos and created a link to our very own youtube account. See permanent link in the right-hand margin.

And finally, I have added 100's of additional photos since yesterday. You will find them in albums you might have already looked at and others are in new albums. Just go to PHOTOS, click the album titles to view.

Glad you are enjoying the site.

New site for EHS Marching Band

It's great to be back in the EHS Band Booster's. Hard to believe it's been two years since Tommy graduated and that Katie is now a freshman! I'm looking forward to meeting other new parents and working with the board members.
This site is under construction so please be patient as I make adjustments along the way.  Most of my photos are when Tommy was at Ellet. I will be getting newer material from band camp and the games. Parents can send me photos to post on this site too.
Hopefully, this site will be a place for students and parents to get information and communicate with each other. I will be switching to the Google Calendar in the near future.
Best wishes to Mr. Grom and the entire EHS Marching Band!
