Good Evening Band Family!!!

Hopefully everyone is recovered from the busy holiday weekend!  This is what is happening this week!


Monday 11/30  Discount card monies are due in to Cathy Isenhart.  


Also due 11/30 are Pancake breakfast pre-sale tickets.  Turn in your money for the 5 tickets you were given to sell,  to either Jennifer or Jessica Fox, and the first nine students win a prize!!! A Gift card to Artisan coffee or Subway!!!


There is a Restaurant Day @ Applebee's in  Brimfield on Wednesday, December 2nd!  There will be flyers in the band room your student can bring home to show that day when placing your order.  The fundraiser goes all day and all evening long, so enjoy!


If  you want to donate a basket to the Pancake Breakfast Raffle please bring them to set up on Friday Evening from 6-8PM


Sign up sheets are already up in the band room and all students needs to make sure they are signed up to work Pancake breakfast!  Wear your ugly Christmas shirt or sweater and get ready to have lots of fun!


Students and Adults planning to help with set up need to be at the Bingo Hall on Friday, December 4th at 6:30 PM- 8:00PM.


Students need to report to the Bingo Hall at 8AM on Saturday December 5th.  You should be finished working by 12:30 PM.

Good Morning Band Family!

A huge thank you to each and every parent, student, and grandparent that volunteered and helped at the Craft Show this weekend!   Without each and everyone of you, the Craft show would not be the great success it is!  


Pancake Breakfast planning meeting is on Tuesday November 17th at 7 PM at Artisan Coffee @ Albrecht and Canton Road.  Please try to come out and help plan this fun morning.


Your student will be receiving a packet this week with a combination of local retailers discount cards.  Each card sells for $10.00.  Please ask your student about this new fundraiser.  If you have questions, please contact Cathy Isenhart @ 330-388-0281.



The Santa Parade for downtown Akron is on Saturday, November 28th.  Step off is at 11:00 AM.  Please try to pick up a Santa hat for your student at one of the Dollar stores in the next two weeks.  They will be wearing Santa hats in place of their traditional helmets that day with their uniforms, to add a more festive look, and can also wear them for the Holiday Pancake breakfast on December 5th.  Please stay tuned for call times and location for that morning.


If your student is interested in Solo and Ensembles, please have them see Mr. Grom as soon as possible.

The Band Booster meeting for Thursday, November 12th at 7:00  is cancelled.   We will keep you informed as to when it will be rescheduled.  Thank you and hope to see many of you at Craft Show on Saturday!

Good Morning Band Families!!!


If you are loaning a dolly or a cart to use at the craft show please put your name on it so it is easily identifiable to return to your family at the end of the day.


Hot dogs,  hot dog buns, sloppy joe mix and hamburger buns can be dropped off anytime during Friday set up from 3:30-6:00 PM in the cafeteria.  Raffle baskets donations should also be dropped off during that time.  


Students should plan to stay after school on Friday until around 6-630 PM.  The more help we have the quicker set up will go!


Please ask your student if they have signed up to cover a shift.  Yesterday, as of 10 AM there were still 30 students that have yet to sign up for a shift.  If they have a prior commitment please let us know so they can be excused.  Sign up sheets are hanging in the band room.   This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we truly need all the help we can get to make it successful!


There is a band booster meeting Thursday evening at 7PM in the band room and parents are encouraged to attend.

Good Morning Band Family!


Its Craft Show Week!!!


There are a few other things going on this week.  There is a Band Booster meeting on Thursday evening at 7 PM.  


Goodie Factory fundraiser will be available for pickup on Thursday after school.  


Please remember that students will be staying after school on Friday til around 6 PM to assist in setting up for the craft show.  If you signed up to bring in hot dogs and buns or sloppy joes and buns they can be dropped off in the cafeteria any time after school.


All students need to make sure they have signed up for either shift on Saturday or for the entire day!  The sign up sheets are in the band room.  Parents, if you can help on Saturday please call Amy McPherson @ 330-400-0975 so we can put you on the schedule.


We still need Raffle Baskets.  You can drop off baskets before 6 PM on Friday November 13th in the cafeteria.

Good Evening Band Families!


Some important dates to put on your calendar if you have not already done so:

Craft show planning meeting Tuesday November 3rd @7PM at the McDonalds on East Market and Mogadore road.  Please come out and see what it takes to plan our biggest fundraiser of the year!

Pancake Breakfast Planning Meeting Wednesday, November 4th @ 6:30 Pm at the McDonalds on East Market and Mogadore Road.  Time to start planning  for the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus!

Tag Day is Saturday November 7th in shifts of 10 AM-12 PM AND 12 PM-2 PM.  Roger Hoover is still looking for 3 fabulous parents to work 3, 2 hour shifts!  Please call Roger at 330-697-3550 if you can help out.  Students can take their  uniforms home on Friday after school and return them on Monday to the uniform room.  They should also wear their Ellet stands ball cap in place of their helmet.  Sign up sheets for students will be in the band room on Monday, please check with your student to insure that they have signed up for a post.

Craft show will be held on Saturday November 14th.  Attendance from all students is mandatory for this huge event.  If your student has a family commitment please see Mr. Grom so they can be excused.  It is also an extremely important event that we need parental help for.  Sign ups for students will start mid week, and if you as a parent would like to help and have yet to sign up please contact Michele Ferguson @330-388-4980 or Amy McPherson @330-400-0975.
